Peace In The Midst of Confusion

The enemy of our soul has a distinctive method of bringing confusion to the minds of believers and nonbelievers. The influence of the enemy is evident through the opinions and viewpoints of what we refer to as the news. Certain voices, if allowed to speak and influence our thinking, can bring confusion that is contrary to what the Bible says. More than ever before, we desperately need the peace of God that passes all understanding, and the hope that there are better days coming. The bottom line is this – God is the author of peace.

Focus Scriptures:

“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.” I Corinthians 14:33

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” Luke 2:14

The pressure and pace of our lives between Thanksgiving and Christmas has a way of bringing unnecessary chaos. In spite of the multitude of things in our present world that seem to be spinning out of control, we need order. I believe it would be safe to say that with God in control, there is peace on earth. Despite rising virus stats, the uncertainty of an election, and a shaky economy, He is in control. God is not nervously wringing His hands over the banister of Heaven concerning endtime events, but rather He is most assuredly in control.

Peace defined biblically is the “tranquility of order” and it extends beyond our own ability. We need His help through His spirit, to produce and sustain lasting peace despite the voice of confusion.

Praying for peace in your life,

Pastor Daron Hudspeth
